A brass photo-etched set from Voyager Model in 1:35 scale, in the Basic form. It is not a model of the vehicle but a pack of thin brass parts with which you replace the coarser plastic items and refine the detail of a model of the German Panzerbeobachtungswagen V Ausf.D artillery observation vehicle. The Basic set concentrates on the most visible items of the exterior. The set is intended for the Dragon 6419 and 6813 kits.
The Panzerbeobachtungswagen V was an artillery observation vehicle of the Second World War period, built on the chassis of the Panther tank. The main gun was replaced by a dummy, and the turret carried observation and sighting optics for directing artillery fire. The crew consisted of a commander, an observer, a radio operator and a driver.
Separate the brass parts with a sharp knife on a hard mat and bend them in a photo-etch bender or along a ruler. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); for easier shaping the brass can be lightly annealed. Apply a base coat suitable for metal before painting; the details come out after fine shading.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
