Period photographs and postcards 1:35 are two printed paper sheets of small accessories for a diorama — not a kit and not a waterslide decal.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pair of printed paper sheets with period photographs and postcards from the Second World War in 1:35 scale. They are small scenic accessories for dioramas and display cases, cut out and arranged around the setting. This is not a kit, not resin parts and not waterslide decals.
Photographs and postcards work differently from posters: they do not belong on a wall visible from a distance but among the interior and personal details. Scattered on the table of a command post, tucked behind the frame of a mirror, pinned above a bunk, laid on a vehicle seat or in a figure's hand. It is precisely these small things that turn a static scene into a lived-in space and tell the viewer that somebody lives there, without any need to add more figures.
In 1:35 scale a postcard is only a few millimeters across — so it has to be cut with a fresh blade on a hard surface and handled with fine-tipped tweezers. The amount of glue on the tip of a toothpick is enough; surplus wicks straight into the paper and makes a dark stain. If you want to wave or fold the paper, damp it with your breath and shape it while it is still supple. At the end go over the cut pieces with matte varnish in spots with a brush only — spraying over the whole area would blow such small pieces away or shift them.
The accessory is supplied as printed sheets. Glue, paints and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
