Responsibility details are not available.
A set of turned metal gun barrels from Tetra Model Works in 1:350 scale. This is a detail-up accessory that replaces the plastic barrels of the gun mount with precisely machined metal parts. The package holds two barrels for the American dual-purpose naval gun Mark 45 Mod.2 of 5 inch (127 mm) caliber, 54 calibers in length.
The Mark 45 is a light single-barrel dual-purpose gun of the US Navy for firing at surface, land and air targets. The earlier Mod.2 version has a barrel 54 calibers long, shorter than the later Mod.4 with 62 calibers, and it is typical of a range of American destroyers and cruisers from the closing decades of the 20th century. A turned metal barrel gives the model the correct thin and straight profile with no mold seams.
Cut away the original plastic barrel and replace it with the metal one; bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal and go over it with a good primer before painting so that the paint holds. Choose the shade to match the finish of the particular ship, usually in tones of naval gray.
This is an accessory, not a ship model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
