A detail set in turned metal containing 8 barrels of 38 cm (380 mm) caliber of the SKC/34 type in 1:350 scale. It is not a ship model but replacement metal barrels of the main caliber, which are seated in the gun turrets. The precise turning gives straight barrels with the correct muzzle, which tends to be a problem with plastic castings.
The 38 cm SKC/34 gun was the main armament of the German battleships of the Bismarck class, that is the ships Bismarck and Tirpitz. Each ship carried them in four twin turrets. It was a powerful naval gun with long range that made up the backbone of the fighting strength of these vessels.
Separate the barrels from the gate, clean them up and seat them in the cleaned-out holes of the turrets. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Treat the metal with a base coat (primer) before painting, then the final shade.
This is an add-on detail set, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
