The photo-etched set Eduard New Jersey 1:350 brings fine metal parts for refining a model of the American battleship USS New Jersey. It is not a model but an accessory to the Tamiya kit in 1:350 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set for the New Jersey in 1:350 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. This is not a model but a set of fine brass parts that will replace the coarse plastic elements of the American battleship USS New Jersey. The set is designed for the kit from Tamiya in the same scale.
USS New Jersey (BB-62) was an American Iowa-class battleship that served from the Second World War, with later modernizations, right to the end of the Cold War. The set replaces the coarse plastic railings with railings thin enough for the scale and adds steps, ladders, radars and other deck details that give the ship a faithful, fine appearance.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife or photo-etch scissors, make the bends as the instructions say (ideally in a photo-etch bending tool) and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); cement for plastic does not hold on metal. With long railings patience pays off, as does gluing in shorter sections. Glue long stretches of deck railing bit by bit and keep checking that they stay straight. We recommend spraying the unpainted parts with primer and with the ship's shade before installation.
The photo-etched set is an accessory, not a model. The ship kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
