This injection-molded plastic set holds three miniature models of the SH-5 naval flying boat in 1:350 scale. Because of their small size these are not a stand-alone large model but an accessory with which you bring the decks and hangars of warship models, submarine tenders or harbor dioramas to life. The box includes plastic parts and a decal sheet with PLA Navy markings.
The Harbin SH-5 is a Chinese amphibious flying boat intended for maritime patrol, anti-submarine warfare, search and rescue and firefighting from the water. With its high-wing layout and four turboprop engines the machine is among the largest aircraft of its kind in service with the aviation of the PLA Navy. In 1:350 scale it comes out as a small accessory aircraft for ship models.
Separate the small parts from the sprues with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Given their size, painting with an airbrush and a fine brush for the details proves its worth. It is advisable to use a clear coat compatible with the base before applying the decals, and a fine matte overcoat to even out the surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
