About product

US naval ensign (WWII) SPACE 1:350

An accessory for ship modelers in 1:350 scale: the American naval ensign (US ensign) of the Second World War period in the version of the SPACE range. It combines a colored 3D decal with a photo-etched steel backing, so that the flag can be shaped into a realistically flying form.

What the accessory is for

The photo-etched steel gives the flag firmness and makes it possible to curve it naturally, and the colored printed layer then renders the stripes and the field of stars faithfully. It suits the masts and the stern of warships, cruisers or destroyers of the US Navy. This is an accessory, not a ship model.

Usage tips

Separate the part from the fret, shape it carefully with your fingers or with tweezers into a waving form and glue it on with a small amount of super glue. The color does not have to be added to; any edges can be touched in lightly.

Who the accessory is for

  • Builders of US Navy ships in 1:350
  • Modelers who want a realistically flying flag with no painting
  • Collectors looking for a small but striking detail

It is supplied as a detail set (a 3D decal on photo-etch); the ship model is not part of the package.

FAQ

Both. The colored printed layer is laid on thin photo-etched steel, which holds the shape of a flying flag.

No, the colors are printed. It is enough to shape the part and glue it on; touch in the edges lightly if need be.
