A collector's model of the Skoda 1201 car in the taxi release, 1:43 scale. A finished piece for a display case alongside a collection of Czechoslovak cars.
Responsibility details are not available.
In the 1950s the Skoda 1201 was among the most widespread Czechoslovak cars. It came about in several body releases and besides private owners it was used by companies, authorities and taxi services. A car in the taxi release therefore recalls the look of urban transport of its time and in a collection it rounds out the ordinary civilian versions well.
This is a collector's model in 1:43 scale, that is, in the most widespread size for collector's cars. Unlike the kit releases of the same subject, it is a finished collector's piece, so it is neither assembled nor painted. The details of the workmanship of the body and the interior are not stated here.
The model will benefit from a closed display case, or at least a place out of direct sunlight, which takes the richness out of the colors. Remove dust from it with a soft brush or a blower, not with a cloth, so that the paint is not scratched. Pick the model up by the chassis or by the roof, not by the mirrors, the wipers and other small external parts, which break off easily. When moving a collection, it is better to wrap the model in soft paper.
The model will be appreciated by collectors of Czechoslovak automobiles, by those interested in the history of urban transport and by people looking for a gift with a period feel. Thanks to the 1:43 scale it will fit in among the other cars of a collection without trouble and will not take up much room.
A display case and a base are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
