This model of the Skoda 1202 in 1:43 scale is a finished collector's piece, not a kit. It is supplied completely assembled and painted in white, so it goes straight into a display case — nothing is glued, sanded or sprayed. Abrex has long concentrated precisely on collector's models of Czechoslovak and Czech cars in this scale.
The Skoda 1202 was the utility and family version derived from the technical basis of the Skoda Octavia. It was built in the 1960s and became one of the most widespread working vehicles of its day — from an estate through a van to ambulance and service standards. It carried a longitudinally mounted spark-ignition four-cylinder engine and an unmistakable shape with a tall rear end, which gave it practical room for a load. It is precisely the number of body variants that makes the Skoda 1202 popular with collectors: several of them can stand in one display case and no two look the same.
The model is made in 1:43 scale, that is in the standard in which most models of passenger cars are collected. The white standard given in the name is civilian, with no service lettering, so it serves well as a starting piece in a collection of the Skoda 1202 beside colored and service variants.
This is a finished, assembled and painted collector's model intended for display. It is neither a kit nor a children's toy.
