A finished collector model of the compact SUV Skoda Yeti after the 2013 facelift, in 1:43 scale from the Czech brand Abrex. It is not a kit: the model comes out of the box assembled, painted and with the detail applied. The finish corresponds to the gray shade Steel in a non-metallic, that is a solid version; Abrex keeps this variant separately alongside the metallic shades of the same car.
The Skoda Yeti was the first compact SUV from the Mlada Boleslav brand, presented in 2009. The 2013 facelift brought a new front end with a more strongly divided grille and revised headlights, a reworked rear and changes in the interior; at the same time the range split into a city-oriented version and a more ruggedly conceived Outdoor variant. The Yeti made its name as a practically conceived car with a high-set body and generous space, even though in its dimensions it stayed in the compact class.
A solid paint has no metal pigments, so on a model it behaves differently from a metallic: it is flatter, quieter and it shows the shaping of the body and its edges better. That is exactly why a gray solid finish suits those who follow the lines of the car rather than the effect of the paint. The 1:43 scale is the classic collector format, the model fits into an ordinary display case and combines well with other cars of the same size. A glossy surface attracts dust, so a closed case and the occasional dusting with a soft brush are useful, out of reach of direct sunlight.
The model is supplied finished, assembled and painted. It is not a kit, so you need neither glue nor paints for it.
