The set contains aircraft warning cones used on handling areas and aprons in 1:48 scale. It is neither an aircraft model nor a kit but a small diorama accessory. The cones mark out a safe zone around a parked aircraft, flag dangerous spots and organize the movement of equipment. In a diorama they give an airfield scene order as well as color.
Warning cones belong to the basic safety equipment of every airfield. The striking color finish warns personnel about the edges of the apron, extended parts of an aircraft or places under maintenance. It is details like these that make an airfield diorama credible.
Wash the mold release agent off the small parts and carefully cut off the casting blocks. Unify the cones with a primer, spray a strong signal color and add contrasting stripes. Pigments will round out fine grime and dust at the base, so that the accessory does not look factory fresh.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and a diorama base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
