Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched metal set in 1:48 scale from Aber holding the parts for the sheet-metal boxes for machine gun ammunition for the American 12.7 mm M2 heavy machine gun of the Second World War period. The boxes are folded from etched sheet into a three-dimensional shape, so they have a faithful wall thickness, the pressed detail suggested, a lid and a handle. It is an accessory to armored vehicles, vehicles and figures, not a standalone model.
The 12.7 mm M2 heavy machine gun was the standard American weapon on tanks, half-tracks and field cars. Ammunition for it came in belts stowed in sheet-metal boxes, which were commonly carried on the fenders, in the stowage spaces or loose on the hull. In dioramas they are therefore a rewarding and easily recognizable detail.
Nip the parts from the etched fret and clean them up, make the bends on a bending tool or along the scored lines and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a base coat for adhesion. In 1:48 scale the parts are very small, so sharp tweezers and good lighting pay off.
An accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
