This plastic kit captures the Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4 fighter in 1:48 scale. The model from Italeri is injection-molded in gray and clear plastic and contains an elaborate cockpit, landing gear and a decal sheet. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
The Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst was the final production version of the legendary German fighter. It entered service at the end of 1944 and was derived from the G version. It was powered by the powerful Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine, and the machine was among the fighters with very good climb and high speed. The K-4 received an aerodynamically cleaned-up fuselage and a number of small production changes.
We recommend thin cement for plastic and careful seating of the cockpit before you close up the fuselage. Late German schemes often combine several shades of gray and green with a mottled camouflage, for which an airbrush and masking are suitable. Apply a gloss varnish before the decals, unify the surface with a matte overcoat once it has dried and add a light accent to the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
