The decal sheet HAD models 1:48 Dornier Do 215B and Do 17S, part one is intended for a model of the twin-engine aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet in its own right from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models in 1:48 scale for a model of the twin-engine Dornier Do 215B and Do 17S. According to the name this is the first part of a two-part set. The sheet is applied to a finished, sprayed model and replaces or supplements the decals supplied with a kit.
With larger sets the manufacturer divides the contents over two sheets, because all the markings and the technical lettering will not fit on one. Go through the enclosed drawing before building, then, and check which items you need for the chosen pattern and whether they are here or in the second part. A thin film conforms well to the engraving and to the glazing of the pilot's compartment.
The Dornier Do 17 was a twin-engine aircraft with a strikingly slender fuselage, for which the nickname the Flying Pencil took hold. It was used as a bomber and a reconnaissance machine and further versions grew out of it in turn. The Do 215 came from the same design but was fitted with liquid-cooled V12 engines, which showed in the shape of the engine nacelles and in performance at higher altitudes. The Do 17S version served on reconnaissance duties.
Varnish the model with gloss clear coat. Cut the decal out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it into place once it releases. Fine-tune the position with a damp brush and soak the surplus water up. Where there is engraving and riveting use a decal softener and press the film down gently. Once dry, unify the surface with a matte or satin varnish.
The package holds the decal sheet only. The model, paints and varnishes are not included.
