The decal sheet HAD models 1:48 Fw 190 A-8/R2 brings the markings for the machines with the tactical numbers red 4 and red 16 in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet from the Hungarian brand HAD models for a model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in the A-8/R2 version. According to the name it holds markings for two machines with the tactical numbers red 4 and red 16. The sheet is intended for a finished, sprayed model in 1:48 scale and can replace the decals supplied with a kit.
Two sets of markings on one sheet give the chance to build two different guises of the same type, or to pick the variant that better suits the color scheme you want to spray. Decals from a specialist manufacturer tend to be thinner and to conform to engraving better than older sheets from boxes.
The Fw 190 A-8 was a single-engine fighter with a BMW 801 radial engine. The R2 designation stands for a factory conversion set with heavier gun armament in the wing, which raised the effect of the fire but worsened handling and added weight. Machines converted in this way differ from the ordinary A-8 in the armament of the outer wing, and that has to be kept in mind when building the model.
Lay gloss clear coat onto the surface, otherwise air is trapped under a decal and the film silvers. Cut the decal off, soak it in lukewarm water, move it into place once it releases and fine-tune the position with a damp brush. Soak the surplus water up with a cloth and use a decal softener in the engraving. Once it has dried perfectly, spray the model with a matte or satin varnish.
The package holds the decal sheet only. The model, paints and glue are not included.
