A sheet of decals in 1:48 scale for a model of the British Hawker Hurricane Mk.II fighter, the first part.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British single-seat fighter of the Second World War. The Mk.II version brought a more powerful engine and gradually heavier armament as well; it served both in the fighter role and later in the role of attacking ground targets. Hurricanes flew in great numbers with many units, so a wide range of markings is available for them.
A decal sheet in 1:48 scale for a model of the Hurricane Mk.II. This is the first part of a two-part series; the second part was released under its own catalog listing. An overview of the schemes, their color drawings and the placing of the individual decals can be found in the instructions that are part of the package.
With ordinary sheets the wet way is used: the decal is cut off, soaked in lukewarm water for a few seconds and left to rest until it can be slid off the backing. It is applied over smooth gloss varnish, which hides the carrier film, and settled with a decal softener. Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive version; a soaked self-adhesive film is irreversibly ruined. Once dry, the model is coated over with a flat or semi-gloss varnish.
For the modeler who wants to give a Hurricane markings other than those the kit offers, or who wants to build a particular aircraft. Working with decals is undemanding; a soft brush, cotton wool and patience while settling them on a broken surface are enough.
The package holds decals and instructions only. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
