A set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale for models of the Soviet Ilyushin Il-2 ground-attack aircraft in the early single-seat version. It contains national insignia and individual markings for supplementing or replacing the decals of a kit. The set offers several schemes to choose from.
The Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik was a Soviet armored ground-attack aircraft, one of the most significant machines of the Eastern Front. The early single-seat form without a rear gunner was used in the opening phase of the fighting; an armored hull protected both the pilot and the engine during attacks on ground targets.
Apply the decals onto a smooth, glossy, degreased varnish. After soaking, let the decal rest, slide it into place and press the excess water gently out. Decal softeners prove their worth in settling them onto engraving and details. Finally go over everything with a varnish to the degree of gloss you want.
