Decals 1:48 Su-24M and Su-24MR — Chelyabinsk Eagles, part 1 is a set of waterslide decals from Advanced Modeling for models of the tactical bomber with a variable-geometry wing.
Responsibility details are not available.
Note that this is neither an aircraft model nor a kit, but a set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Advanced Modeling. The set is intended for models of the attack bomber Su-24M and its reconnaissance version Su-24MR and brings the markings of machines stationed at the air base near Chelyabinsk. An information sheet with reference material on the markings is included, so the modeler can look up the placement of the individual elements. This is the first part of a series, followed by a second part with further machines.
The combination of numerical codes, national insignia, technical lettering and distinctive painted motifs on the fuselage gives a model a particular identity instead of a generic factory scheme. That is usually the most valuable thing with Soviet and Russian hardware — the machines of the period differed not only in the shades of their camouflage but also in small details of their markings, which set a build apart from other models of the same type.
Apply the decals onto a perfectly smooth gloss coat, otherwise a matte silvery edge will appear around the film. After laying a decal down, use a softener so that the film sinks into the engraved lines and over the riveting. Let it dry thoroughly, then coat the area with semi-matte or matte clear according to the surface of the machine. Cut large motifs as close to the artwork as you can, so that a minimum of carrier film is left.
The set contains decals only. The model, the paints and the clear coats are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
