Dornier Do 215 B in Hungarian service decals in 1:48 scale from SBS Model - Hungarian markings for the reconnaissance version of the famous Dornier series in a larger scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Markings of the Hungarian Do 215 B Dorniers, this time for models in 1:48 scale. The sheet from the Hungarian maker SBS Model makes it possible to build this elegant twin-engine machine in the colors of the Royal Hungarian Air Force - that is, in a form boxed kits offer only exceptionally.
The Do 215 was the export and reconnaissance offshoot of the Do 17 series with more powerful Daimler-Benz engines. Hungary obtained reconnaissance Do 215 Bs from Germany and used them for long-range reconnaissance over the Eastern Front, where their crews flew photographic and visual reconnaissance sorties for the needs of ground operations. The camouflage was based on German standards, with Hungarian national insignia added.
In the larger scale the detail of the printing comes into its own - give the decals a smooth gloss surface and, when seating them on the large areas of the fuselage and wings, press the air out from the center toward the edges. Let the softener work without touching it, or you would damage the printed layer. Once dry, overcoat the model and weather it gently according to photographs of twin-engine machines of the Eastern Front.
The package contains decals only - the aircraft kit is not included.
