1:48 Dornier Do-217J-1/2 is a pre-painted photo-etched set from Eduard's Zoom line - a slimmed-down fret focused on the interior, not a kit of the aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
Zoom is Eduard's slimmed-down photo-etched line. Compared with a full photo-etched set it is a narrower selection: it concentrates on what is visible once the model is finished, that is mainly on the cockpit interior, and some of the parts come already printed in color. For a modeler that means a quicker route to the result - the colored areas do not have to be painted laboriously. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for a kit in 1:48 scale that you already own.
The Dornier Do 217 was a German twin-engine combat aircraft of the Second World War period. The J version came about through modification for night fighting, which showed above all in the forward fuselage and in the crew's equipment. The cockpit interior is therefore a prominent feature on this version, and one worth working up more carefully than with the plain plastic part from the box.
Handle the pre-painted parts carefully - the printing is durable, but it will not survive mechanical scratching, so do not use tweezers with sharp jaws. The colored parts are not sprayed over or primed; they are glued straight on, ideally with a minimal amount of thin super glue. Unpainted features, on the other hand, need a coat of primer. Whatever you plan, go through the sequence in advance: most Zoom parts go in before the fuselage is closed up.
This is an accessory for a build, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
