1:48 Eastern Front Fighters vol.2 is a decal sheet in 1:48 scale with markings of machines of the Eastern Front, specifically the Yak-1b, the Bf 110 and the Bf 109.

This is a separate decal sheet, not a kit. The set is intended for modelers who want to complete a basic plastic model with markings other than those the box offers. The second part of the series brings together three types committed to action on the Eastern Front, the Soviet Yak-1b and the German Bf 110 and Bf 109.
The Yak-1b was a single-engine fighter aircraft of mixed construction with a V engine; the second production form of the type differed from the original version mainly in a modification of the canopy and of the armament. The Bf 109 was a single-seat fighter low-wing monoplane of all-metal construction with a V engine and a narrow landing gear track. The Bf 110 was a twin-engine machine of the heavy fighter category with a crew of two to three, used also for attacks on ground targets and later for night tasks. All three types are among the most frequently built subjects in 1:48 scale.
The surface under a decal has to be smooth and glossy, otherwise a silvery edge will appear under the carrier film. Cut the individual motifs out as closely as possible, immerse them in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let them rest on the paper until they begin to slide freely. Settle them in place with a brush and draw the surplus water off with absorbent paper. Over engraved lines and rivets a decal softener helps, as it pulls the film down into the relief. Finally seal the finished markings with a varnish in the degree of gloss you want, so that the edges disappear and the surface is uniform.
The package contains decals only. The kit, paints and varnishes are not part of it.
