The basic (BASIC) set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks of washi (kabuki) tape. The BASIC version concentrates on the canopy glazing and its frames, that is on the most demanding part of masking when painting a model of the two-seat Lightning in the T.4 and T.5 versions in 1:48 scale. The masks are not a model or decals but an aid for sharp transitions of paint.
The English Electric (BAC) Lightning was a British supersonic interceptor with two jet engines arranged one above the other. The T.4 and T.5 versions were two-seat training machines with side-by-side seats and a wider forward part of the fuselage; they served for training pilots for the single-seat combat versions.
The masks are an aid to painting, not a model. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
