F-16C/D Block 40/50 - the GE F110 engine nozzle in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Brengun. A resin replacement nozzle with crisply cast petals for a truer rear end to an F-16 model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from the Czech maker Brengun, intended for a particular Tamiya kit. The casting replaces the original nozzle part and brings crisply rendered petals and inner structure that a split plastic part cannot reproduce without intrusive seams.
The F-16C/D fighters of the Block 40 and Block 50 versions are powered by the General Electric F110 engine. Its nozzle differs distinctly in shape and in the arrangement of its petals from the nozzle of the competing Pratt and Whitney engine used by the Block 42 and 52 versions - the right nozzle is therefore an important recognition feature of a particular version on a model.
First wash the part in warm soapy water to remove any mold release agent. Cut off the casting block with a saw or a scalpel and sand the mark down; protect your airways while sanding resin. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The inside of the nozzle comes out well after a fine wash, and the outer petals after spraying metallic shades toned toward heat-stained colors.
This is a detail accessory, not an airplane model in its own right. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
