1:48 F-35B Interior from Metallic Details is a metal detail set for the interior areas of a model of the F-35B in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory for a kit, not a model of the aircraft.

The set belongs among metal and photo-etched accessories for aircraft models. According to the name it is aimed at the interior, that is at the spaces most visible once the doors and the canopy are open. Thin sheet can imitate sharp edges, fine bulkheads and relief that will not fit into a plastic molding in this scale. The aircraft itself is not included in the package; the set assumes a base model in 1:48 scale.
The F-35B Lightning II is the version for short takeoff and vertical landing. It differs from the other variants in its propulsion arrangement with a lift fan behind the cockpit and a swiveling rear nozzle, which also bring doors on the upper and lower sides of the fuselage. The machine serves with the US Marine Corps and with other operators flying aircraft from short strips and from decks.
It makes sense to finish the interior before the fuselage is closed, or you will not reach it again. Degrease the parts, bend them over a metal ruler and glue with a minimum of superglue applied with the head of a pin; excess glue floods the fine relief. After painting in a dark shade, a dry brush and a dark wash help, drawing the edges and the recesses out. Keep trying the parts dry as you go; once inserted, the cockpit must not push one half of the fuselage away.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
