This is a resin wheel set in 1:48 scale for models of the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II from the Ukrainian brand Armory. It is not an aircraft kit but a replacement for landing gear parts, with the tires cast in the bulged state. The manufacturer specifies the set for the late type of wheels; the Phantom was built for more than two decades and the configuration of the hubs and of the tread changed over that time. The F-4 Phantom II was created as a carrier-based fighter for the US Navy and ended up serving in every role from fighter through bomber to reconnaissance. Late versions of the type, especially the modernized machines operated into the 1990s, differed from the first batches in a range of details including the landing gear. The aircraft had tricycle landing gear with a nose leg and single main wheels; a weight of over twenty tons meant strong, high-pressure tires that had to take a very hard touchdown on the deck.
