A complete photo-etched detail set for the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8 model in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Brengun. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory to the Eduard kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched metal parts intended for refining a model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8 as a whole in 1:48 scale. The designation detail set means that it is not aimed at a single feature: sets like this from Brengun usually cover the cockpit as well as the external small parts, where injected plastic has its limits of shape.
The Fw 190 A-8 was one of the many production versions of the German single-engine fighter with the BMW 801 radial engine. It is characterized by a short fuselage, a roomy engine cowling with a cooling fan and the angular outlines of the tail surfaces. On a model, detailing shows most in the cockpit and on the small sheet metal features of the airframe.
First look the whole fret over against the light and compare it with the instructions so that you know what goes where; photo-etched parts tend to be arranged on the fret differently from the order of the build. Work and paint the parts that go into the cockpit before you join the fuselage halves. Degrease the metal before painting and spray a base coat. Sand the place for a part on the model smooth: photo-etched metal lies properly only on a flat base. Bond with super glue drop by drop, as an excess shines on metal and is hard to remove.
The accessory set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
