Eduard 1:48 Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 TFace is a set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks of the TFace line, that is the variant that masks the frames of the glazing from the outside and from the inside. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for building one.

A masking set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:48 scale. It contains self-adhesive masks cut to the shape of the framing of the canopy and of the other glazing, so a modeler does not have to lay and cut tape by hand. The TFace designation marks the line that adds masks for the inner side of the glass as well, so this variant contains more than an ordinary one-sided mask. The set is not a model or a kit in itself; it serves as an accessory for a plastic Fw 190A-5 model in 1:48 scale.
A standard mask deals only with the outside of the glazing. With TFace you get a second set of shapes for the inner side, so the frames can be sprayed with the interior color from within and with the camouflage color from outside. The canopy then does not look like a clear part colored on one side only, and close up it matches reality. Unlike photo-etched or resin accessories, TFace adds no new part to a model - it only changes the quality of the painting.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 is a single-engine fighter with a BMW 801 radial engine. The A-5 version differs from the earlier A-series in a lengthened engine mount, which moved the powerplant forward and adjusted the balance of the aircraft. The shape of the canopy and of the framing matches precisely this series, so the set belongs to a particular version and not to the whole Fw 190 family.
Wash and degrease the glazing before masking, otherwise the masks will not hold. Lay the mask with dry fingers or with tweezers, press it down with a toothpick around the perimeter of the frame and only then spray - lay the paint in thin coats, so that it does not creep under the edge. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried and with an oblique pull; left on for a long time it comes away harder. Fit the inner masks before you glue the canopy to the fuselage.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
