Conversion set for the Fw 190 V75 with the SG 113 Förstersonde installation in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer AML — resin parts for building the test aircraft with a downward-firing anti-tank weapon.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin conversion set from the Czech manufacturer AML lets you rebuild a kit of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter in 1:48 scale into the V75 test aircraft with the SG 113 Förstersonde installation. It is not a stand-alone aircraft model: it is an accessory that is combined with a base Fw 190 kit.
The SG 113 Förstersonde was a German experimental anti-tank installation from the end of the Second World War: vertically mounted recoilless barrels built into the airframe, fired automatically by a sensor that reacted to the metal mass of a tank as the aircraft passed over it. The airframe designated Fw 190 V75 became the test platform for the system. The installation never reached service use, but for modelers it is a rewarding subject, an inconspicuous modification with an unusual history that always raises questions on a competition table.
Wash the castings in warm soapy water before gluing to remove any mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and sand the marks down; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue, as ordinary polystyrene cement will not bond resin.
The set is an accessory; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
