Photo-etched German tool clamps and clasps in 1:48 scale from Aber, variant 1. A general-purpose accessory for German vehicles of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched metal set in 1:48 scale from the Polish maker Aber. It holds the small clamps, clasps and straps with which pioneer tools and gear were held in place on German vehicles. The designation variant 1 refers to a particular form — the maker offers several variants according to the period and the type of clamp. It is a general-purpose accessory usable on a wide range of models.
The tools on the hulls of German vehicles — shovels, pry bars, axes, wrenches — were held in place by metal clasps and brackets with wing nuts. In injection-molded plastic these details are necessarily simplified and too thick, which is why they are among the parts most often replaced when building more demanding models.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard mat or with photo-etch scissors, and make the bends in a bending tool or along a steel ruler. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue and degrease the surfaces beforehand. Lay down a base coat suitable for metal before painting, otherwise the paint holds badly on the etched parts.
This is a detail set, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
