This resin detail set from SBS Model in 1:48 scale contains replacement wheels with a spoked disc. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory with which you replace the plastic wheels in the base kit of the British Gloster Gladiator fighter biplane and gain a finer detail of both the discs and the tires.
The Gloster Gladiator was a British fighter biplane of the 1930s with a Bristol Mercury radial engine. It was used in action by the RAF and by other operators at the beginning of the Second World War. The spoked disc represents one of the period variants of the wheels, different from the later covered pattern.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The spoked disc comes out best once it has been primed and the individual spokes have been carefully picked out with a dry brush or a wash.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
