A set of painting masks in kabuki tape from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the British Westland Sea King HAR Mk.3 rescue helicopter in 1:48 scale. The self-adhesive masks are machine-cut for the extensive cabin glazing and for the wheel discs, so that spraying gives you crisp, clean transitions of color. It is not a helicopter model but an accessory for painting; the base kit has to be obtained separately.
The Westland Sea King HAR.3 was a British search and rescue (SAR) helicopter derived from the license-built version of the Sikorsky Sea King. It served with the Royal Air Force for search and rescue and became famous for its work over the sea and in the mountains. The large cabin glazing is a crucial area for masking.
Degrease the glazing first and move the masks with tweezers. Press them carefully against the edges of the frames, so that paint cannot run underneath. On expansive glazing work in sections and apply the paint in thin coats.
This is an accessory for masking while painting, not a model. The kit itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
