A pitot tube for the Hawk H-75 M/N/O 1:48 is a turned metal accessory from Clear Prop Models, which replaces a plastic part on a kit of the aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of an aircraft but a small replacement part. The accessory replaces the plastic pitot tube, that is the antenna-like impact pressure probe by which speed is measured on an aircraft. It is a turned metal part in 1:48 scale. It is intended for the Hawk H-75 M, N and O variants; it is a small accessory, not a complete detail set.
The surest procedure is to drill a hole of the matching diameter in the wing or the fuselage and to sink the tube into it — a butt joint on a part this thin will not last. Drill slowly and check the depth and the angle dry; a correctly fitted tube points parallel to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft. Degrease the metal before gluing and roughen the surface; cyanoacrylate glue holds on it, but the paint needs a base coat suitable for metal. Fit the part at the very end, after painting and varnishing, so that it does not get bent during further work. Before you start drilling, check the match with your kit — the accessory is cut for a particular rendering of the subject in 1:48 scale.
This is an accessory, not a kit of the aircraft. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
