Responsibility details are not available.
A vacuum-formed canopy is a thin clear shell drawn over a form. It is used as a replacement for the canopy from the plastic kit for which it is cut and which is named in the product title. The accessory comes from the Czech maker Brengun and is intended for 1:144 scale. It is not an aircraft kit or any part of one besides the glazing.
The North American F-100D Super Sabre was a single-seat supersonic fighter-bomber with a swept wing and an oval air intake in the nose. Its cockpit is relatively low and blends into the fuselage spine, so a badly fitting canopy shows in the silhouette of a model immediately. That is exactly why swapping the plastic part for thin vacuum-formed film pays off on this type.
In 1:144 scale the canopy is only a few millimeters long, so it is handled differently than in larger scales. It pays to leave a wide margin of film around the part to hold it by while sanding; otherwise it disappears between your fingers. Use fine abrasive paper, short strokes, and check the fit against the light: where a gap shows through, a few more strokes are still needed. The frames of the glazing are so narrow in this scale that it is simpler to paint them with a brush along the engraved outline than to mask them with tape.
The accessory set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
