This set from the manufacturer Armory replaces the landing gear wheels of a Hurricane model with castings in resin. The tires have the flattening from loading that was clearly visible on real machines standing on grass field airfields. Finely executed hubs give the landing gear a depth that plastic moldings usually do not offer.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter that first flew in 1935 and became the backbone of the RAF in the first years of the Second World War. In the Battle of Britain Hurricanes achieved more kills than all the other means of defense put together. More than fourteen thousand were built in a whole range of versions, from fighters through fighter bombers to naval ones.
Separate the wheels from the casting blocks with a razor saw, sand the mark down and wash the parts in warm water with detergent. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tires a very dark gray instead of black and bring the pattern out with light drybrushing in a lighter shade; dust pigments will then tie the landing gear in with the overall weathering of a machine from a field airfield.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base kit of the aircraft is not included in the package.
