A colored photo-etched instrument panel from the manufacturer Yahu Models in 1:48 scale for the early standard of the Romanian I.A.R. 80 fighter. It is not a kit of an airplane but a finished accessory for the pilot's compartment. The multi-layer photo-etch gives the panel a three-dimensional look, and the dial faces printed in color are coated with a layer imitating the glass of the dials.
The I.A.R. 80 is a Romanian single-engine fighter of the Second World War period, developed and built in Romania. Several standards came about one after another, differing in armament and in other details; this standard matches the early version. The instrument panel of the early and of the later machines differs in its layout, which is why Yahu offers both variants separately.
Separate the part from the fret, clean it up and glue it in with a small amount of super glue. Do not paint over the color print; at most pick out the detail with a dark wash. The panel replaces the part from the base kit in the same scale.
This is an accessory for a cockpit, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
