Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Chinese fighter Chengdu J-7GB in 1:48 scale from Trumpeter. The model has a finely engraved panel structure, a detailed cockpit and landing gear bays, well detailed landing gear and photo-etched parts for the external detail. The box holds decals for period Chinese machines. The larger 1:48 scale lets the detail show; the kit suits more advanced modelers.
The J-7 is the Chinese licensed descendant of the Soviet fighter Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21, with its characteristic circular nose air intake and delta wing. The J-7GB version represents a late upgraded form. It is associated with display duties, where it was used in unarmed form. For decades the Chinese sevens were among the most widespread combat aircraft of their region.
Finish and paint the cockpit before you join the fuselage. Bend the photo-etched parts with a bender and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the seams on the fuselage. Mask the glazing and glue it with a canopy cement. An airbrush and a light base suit smooth painted camouflage; the metal surfaces of the nozzle are created with a metallic paint applied at the end over a smooth base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
