What the set offers

Replacement exhausts for a model of the Ju 188E in 1:48 scale. The parts are made by 3D printing and the set is prepared for the kit from Dragon, so you simply replace the original part from the kit. Exhausts are among the parts the eye falls on at once: they lie in a well visible place and a smoke trail runs back from them, so sharp definition earns its place on them.

The real subject

The Ju 188 was a German twin-engine bomber of the Second World War which followed on from the older Ju 88. You recognize it by the pointed wingtips, the glazed nose and the tall angular vertical tail. The letter E in the designation tells one of the versions apart, and because the exhausts differ between the individual versions, it is exactly this that the set is chosen by.

Building and painting tips

• Remove the print supports with a sharp blade a little off the part and sand the mark they leave back.
• Wash off the print resin residue and let the part dry perfectly.
• The parts are not polystyrene, so super glue will join them.
• Try the fit into the kit dry, and only then glue.
• Let the metal base show through and lay a thin coat of rust and soot over it.

It is an accessory set for a kit. The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The exact number of parts and the procedure for fitting them are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
