This set of finely cast resin replaces the exhaust stubs of the German Junkers Ju 87D-5 Stuka dive bomber in 1:48 scale, in the pattern for night work with dampers holding down the flash of the flame. It sharpens up one of the most conspicuous items of the engine area with no need to rework plastic parts laboriously. The part is meant for modelers who want to lift the look of the machine quickly and faithfully.
On a piston engine the exhaust stubs are among the most exposed details, and how well they are drawn strongly affects the overall impression. The casting captures the hollow outlets as well as the dampers against dazzling the pilot, which are only formed from solid plastic with difficulty. Once painted in metallic and rusty shades and lightly weathered, the rear of the engine turns into a credible detail recalling night operations at the front.
