This limited edition in 1:48 scale from Eduard brings two complete kits of Mustang fighters deployed in the Korean War in a single package. It covers the fighter-bomber configuration and the reconnaissance version. The set includes photo-etched parts, painting masks and a rich choice of decals for several marking options, including aircraft of other allied air arms. As a limited edition it combines two models and the extra equipment in one box.
In the Korean War the Mustang was used above all in the fighter-bomber role and in close support of ground units; the reconnaissance version carried out photo-reconnaissance tasks. Thanks to its long range and weapon load it was a valuable tool in the first years of the conflict, when jet fighters were only coming into service.
Paint the cockpits before closing up the fuselages. The enclosed painting masks make clean canopy frames and camouflage transitions easier. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay a gloss varnish under the decals, and for natural metal consider a metallic finish with the pigment carefully stirred.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
