1:48 Lavochkin La-7 is a 3D textured instrument panel and cockpit accessories on decal paper for the Academy kit in 1:48 scale. It is applied as a decal, not as a glued part.
Responsibility details are not available.
A cockpit accessory for a plastic model from Academy, not an aircraft kit. The color print with relief texture is on decal paper and is applied like an ordinary decal: soak it off in lukewarm water, slide it onto the part, line it up and settle it with a decal softener. It replaces the flat engraved panel and saves brush work exactly where there is least room for a mistake.
The La-7 is the development continuation of the previous type and its cockpit carries the same signature: a modest number of instruments, a simple flat panel, the engine controls on the left wall and a reflector gunsight in the middle. In a photograph it looks almost the same as on its predecessor, but the sets are made separately for each type precisely because the panels differ in layout and in small details. The practical consequence for the modeler is simple: do not buy by family, buy by the precise type. On a sparse panel every deviation shows more than on the densely fitted cockpit of a Western machine.
The La-7 had a cut-down fuselage spine and a canopy with a good view to the rear, so it belongs among the better exposed cockpits in this group. Once it is closed the whole front panel, the seat back and the belts stay visible, and on some models the upper edge of the side walls as well. The side consoles hide away and make sense only on a model with the canopy slid back. Before closing up, let the decals dry out thoroughly and polish the clear parts so that the work is not lost behind dull plastic.
The set is an accessory for the build, not a kit. The model, glue, paints and decal softener are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Check before ordering that the set corresponds to your particular kit.
