New Ware Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk BASIC masks 1:48 is a set of accurately shaped painting masks (kabuki) for the canopy glazing of a model of the F-117A stealth aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive painting masks (kabuki) from New Ware in 1:48 scale for a model of the Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk stealth attack aircraft. The BASIC version covers the outer canopy glazing, and the exact shape of the masks gets you sharp, clean frame edges without the drudgery of laying down strips of tape. It is the version for modelers who only need the canopy masked reliably.
The Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk was the first production combat aircraft designed from the ground up as a stealth machine. Its distinctive angular, faceted shape scattered radar waves and the matte black finish was tailored to night operations. It served for precision strikes against heavily defended targets and first made its mark in the operations at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s.
Peel the masks carefully off the sheet, lay them on the glazing by their numbers and press them home. Apply the paint in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush, so that it does not bleed under the edge. Spray the frame color first, then the final finish. Once it has dried, lift the masks off carefully.
This is a set of masks, not a model. The aircraft model and the paints are not included in the package.
