1:48 Mask Gloster Javelin FAW9/9R ADVANCED (AIRF)

New Ware 1:48 Gloster Javelin FAW.9/9R ADVANCED - masking stencils

Self-adhesive masks of kabuki tape, die-cut to shape. Compared with the basic variant, the ADVANCED level extends the coverage - besides the canopy glazing, the wheel hubs and other small areas that are hard to mask by hand tend to be included. The masks are made by the Czech brand New Ware.

The real subject

The Gloster Javelin was a British twin-engine all-jet fighter with a delta wing which served with the RAF from the middle of the nineteen fifties as an all-weather interceptor. The FAW.9 version was given afterburners and the FAW.9R in addition a probe for refueling in flight.

Use and tips

• Transfer the masks with tweezers onto a degreased, smooth surface.
• Press the edges down carefully, so that no paint runs under the film.
• Spray in thin layers and take the mask off shortly after it has dried.
• Mask the wheel hubs before spraying the tires and you will save yourself touching up.

Who the set is for

• Modelers who want clean frames and details without lengthy cutting.
• Builders of British postwar jets in 1:48 scale.

Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.
