1:48 Masking Set Devastator Masking Set

Devastator masking set 1:48 (USCHI van der Rosten)

This is a set of masking templates for the airbrush in 1:48 scale, intended to reproduce the period experimental camouflage scheme on a model of the American Douglas TBD Devastator carrier-based torpedo bomber. It is neither a kit nor decals but an accessory that makes it easier to lay down the intricate camouflage pattern directly in paint. The maker is the German brand USCHI van der Rosten.

Use

• The templates are laid onto the already painted and dried base coat of the model.
• The set also includes alignment masks, which serve as a guide for placing the individual fields of the pattern accurately.
• It is advisable to spray the pattern with an airbrush in layers and to remove the masks only once the paint has dried.
• Once finished, it is advisable to clear coat the surface to even out the matte or gloss.

Who the set is for

• Modelers building the TBD Devastator in 1:48 scale who want accurate period colors.
• More advanced builders with experience of the airbrush and masking.
• Collectors of prewar and early-war US Navy carrier aircraft.

It is an accessory for spraying camouflage. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
