A plastic kit of the German Tiger I heavy tank in the early production version, 1:72 scale. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War and, for its time, an unusually heavily armored machine with an angular, welded hull. The main armament was a gun of 8.8 cm caliber with a barrel 56 calibers long, thanks to which it had a long range and a flat trajectory. The strength was paid for in weight: the Tiger was demanding to move by rail, hard on bridges and hard on the maintenance of the powertrain.
The early version designation is not just a word in the name; it is visible on the model. Early machines had a cylindrical commander's cupola with vision slits instead of the later domed one, carried the extensions of the additional air cleaners at the rear and had road wheels with rubber tires. It is exactly these details that decide whether a finished model matches the description on the box, so do not overlook them during the build.
This is a plastic kit in 1:72 scale that you assemble and paint yourself. The extent of the set, the rendering of the tracks and the choice of marking options are given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with the package.
In 1:72 scale the parts are tiny, so cut them out with a sharp blade and watch the sanding so that an edge does not disappear. Wash and degrease the model before painting. Paint the running gear before you fit the tracks and the side sections, because afterwards neither blade nor brush will reach it. Dust and dry pigment on the lower hull give a small model its scale.
Paints, glue and add-on sets are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
