An injection-molded plastic kit of the supersonic MiG-21PF interceptor in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard in the popular ProfiPACK edition. Besides the plastic parts, the box contains color photo-etched parts, painting masks for the glazing and a decal sheet for several color and marking options. It is modern, finely engraved tooling.
The MiG-21PF belongs to the second generation of the famous Soviet supersonic fighter. Compared with the early versions it received a radar in the intake cone and an enlarged dorsal spine holding fuel, and it was conceived as a missile-armed interceptor without gun armament in the fuselage. The type served with a number of air forces around the world.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and attach the color photo-etch with cyanoacrylate. Leave the canopy glazing for the end and use the masks provided for clean frame edges. Lay down a primer before painting; the metal surfaces of silver MiGs stand out with an airbrush and metallic paint. Use a gloss coat under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
