A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks of the brand New Ware for spraying one colored warning stripe on each 500-pound Mk.82 bomb. It is not a model and not bombs either — they are precisely shaped masks of thin masking tape which set out the position of the stripe and make it possible to spray a clean, even edge without laborious measuring out and sticking of tape by hand. The set is intended for marking a set of aerial bombs from modeling armament.
The Mk.82 is an American aerial bomb of 500 pounds from the Mark 80 series, the most widespread unguided armament of tactical aircraft. One colored stripe on the body is one of the variants of service marking according to the kind of filling.
Spray the base shade of the body of the bomb, lay the mask in the place of the stripe once dry and spray over it with the color of the stripe. Then lift the mask off carefully. The thin tape copies the rounded surface of the bomb and leaves a sharp edge. For the best adhesion, degrease the surface before sticking, free it of dust and press the mask down with a soft tool so that the paint does not run under the edge.
This is a masking set. The model, bombs and paints are not included in the package.
