The LööK range from the Czech maker Eduard joins a resin instrument panel in a finished color rendering to pre-painted seat belts in photo-etched Steel. The modeler therefore gets legible instruments and convincing belts without laboriously painting tiny dials. The exact contents of the package should be checked against the box and the manufacturer's data; they are not stated here in detail.
The Mustang Mk.IV is the British designation of the late Mustangs with a bubble canopy, which the Royal Air Force took on during the Second World War. The basis was the American North American P-51 fighter with a license-built Merlin V12 engine and a two-stage supercharger. It was exactly that engine combination which made the Mustang a long-range escort fighter: the machine could protect bomber formations all the way out and back. The bubble canopy also improved the view to the rear appreciably.
Fit the panel and the belts before the fuselage halves are joined, and try the fit dry first. Wash the resin part to remove the mold release agent, cut the casting block off with a saw and glue it with super glue. Do not spray over the colored surfaces. Bend the photo-etched belts with a blunt tool so that they look soft and do not follow the edge of the seat in one flat plane. The cockpit of a Mustang tends to be well visible with the canopy closed, so it pays off to spend time on gently accenting the surrounding panels as well.
