Four sets of markings for the Mustang III of 1944 and 1945, among them the machines of Jan Zumbach and Bohdan Arct, in 1:48.
Responsibility details are not available.
At the end of the war the Mustang III fighter escorted bomber formations deep over the continent and at the same time served to act against V-1 flying bombs. This sheet captures four machines from that late period, from August 1944 to May 1945. Two of them belonged to officers whose names appear repeatedly in the literature on the Polish Air Force, while the remaining two represent the ordinary service of the squadrons.
The first is the aircraft with the code SZ-A and the serial HB930 of No. 316 Squadron RAF, linked with Flight Lieutenant Bohdan Arct, of August 1944. The second machine carries only the initials JZ and the number HB868, and Wing Commander Jan Zumbach flew it from Brenzett, also in August 1944. The third variant, PK-J with the serial FB161, belongs to No. 315 Squadron RAF and falls as late as May 1945, that is into the very close of the war in Europe. The four are completed by the aircraft WC-F with the number FZ120 of No. 309 Squadron RAF of November 1944.
The code letters on a Mustang lie on smooth all-metal skin, so they are easy to apply, but every irregularity beneath them shows. Before you start, go over the surface with a fine polish and remove any remaining sanding dust. The set holds decals only.
