According to the name, besides the machine itself the package also holds a figure of a pilot in variant 2, which can be used to bring the resulting scene to life.
The Front46 range is author work on the border between modeling and science fiction. Neither the machines nor the units it depicts ever existed in reality, and the model is not a replica of any real design. The shapes come from the technical language of the middle of the twentieth century — riveted armor covers, mechanical joints, roughly made welds and simple optics — but the type itself is invented. You therefore build and paint the model according to your own idea, with no binding period subject and no need to look up historical markings.
Check the parts once they are unpacked, wash them in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry thoroughly — the surface is thus freed of any residue from manufacture and the paint holds better. Small and loaded joints are reliably held by super glue, while ordinary modeling cement for plastic serves on plastic parts. Try the legs and the joints of the machine dry first: the stance characterizes the whole model markedly and, once the glue has dried, it is hard to put right. Before painting, apply a filler primer, which unifies the surface and reveals small shortcomings. For the weathering, a dark wash in the recesses, a dry brush on the edges and pigments on the lower parts and the legs all suit.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
