Responsibility details are not available.
A self-adhesive masking set of kabuki paper intended for painting a model of the turboprop OV-10D Bronco aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit and not a part of a model, but an aid for painting: the masks are stuck onto the glazed areas and the frames, sprayed over with paint and lifted off once it has dried. The designation BASIC is the level of the set, by which the manufacturer tells the basic scope from the extended version.
The OV-10 Bronco is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft with a high-set wing, a pair of tail booms and an extensively glazed cabin, which gives the crew a view even steeply downwards. The OV-10D version came about for night observation and operation in poor visibility, and it is told from older machines among other things by its lengthened nose. The divided-up frames of the cabin and the side windows are the most laborious part of painting when building a model.
Pop the individual parts out of the sheet with tweezers and transfer them onto degreased, dry and dust-free glazing. Press the edges down carefully with a toothpick or a wooden stick, so that no paint runs under them. Spray in thin layers; a first layer in the shade of the cabin interior looks more believable under the main color. Lift the mask off shortly after the paint has set, while it has not yet hardened into a continuous film; the edge then stays sharp. Wipe any residues of adhesive off with a cotton swab dampened in alcohol.
It is an accessory to a model, not the model itself. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package. Before you buy, check that the set matches your kit.
